This workshop is designed to meet the continuing education requirements for the MN Board of Nursing. It is the responsibility of the nurse to determine whether these activities meet the current criteria for continuing education.
Class Description: The Basic Cardiac Rhythm Interpretation course provides the nurse with fundamental skills needed to analyze and interpret the patient’s cardiac rhythm, determine what needs to be assessed, and what actions need to occur.
Learning Objectives:
-Participate in a discussion regarding the benefits of cardiac rhythm interpretation when caring for patients in many areas of the health care field.
-Review the anatomy and physiology of the heart, including the conduction system and its relationship with patient’s cardiac rhythm cycle.
-Interprets the following cardiac rhythms:
*Sinus Rhythms
*Atrial Rhythms
*Junctional Rhythms
*AV Blocks
*Ventricular Rhythms
*Paced Rhythms
-Demonstrates the ability to discriminate between normal, significant, and lethal cardiac rhythms including causes and potential treatments.

CLASS SIZE IS LIMITED-REGISTRATIONS ARE TAKEN ON A FIRST PAID BASIS.
Cancellations must be made no later than 15 business days prior to the course. The full course fee will be charged if cancellation is made in less than 15 business days. Full refunds will be given for all classes cancelled by Medi-Sota. Registration is transferable to another person.
