Description:
The presentation will focus on the care of the family who experiences a stillbirth or neonatal loss. Communication skills, memory making activities, and a discussion of support resources will equip the caregiver to gain confidence in perinatal bereavement care.
Learning Objectives:
1. Provide compassionate care to families experiencing pregnancy loss by using good communication skills & recognition of parenthood.
2. Provide memory making opportunities, create mementos, and normalize loss by treating parents & their baby with respect.
3. Provide support resources in your area or on-line to facilitate healing.
Who Should Attend: LPNs, RNs, NPs, PAs, MDs, Intake staff (HUC’s, MAs), chaplains, priests, social workers, funeral home staff.

This workshop is designed to meet the continuing education requirements for the MN Board of Nursing & MN Board of Social Work. It is the responsibility of the nurse to determine whether these activities meet the current criteria for continuing education.

Cancellations must be made no later than 10 business days prior to the start of the course. The full course fee will be charged if cancellation is made in less than 10 business days. Full refunds will be given for all classes cancelled by Medi-Sota. Registration is transferable to another person.
